Miravinya Sant Elies Hermitage

Mediona

The church of Sant Elies in Mediona, which was first documented in 1301, could be Romanesque, according to the historian and writer Esteve Cruañes. Legend has it that its construction was inspired by a sailor. Today it has a single nave with a semicircular apse and a bell tower with a spire. We recommend going up on a clear day to enjoy the spectacular views that extend from the Ancosa mountain range to the sea!

It is said that its construction was inspired by a sailor who made an oath in times of danger. Situated on the Sant Elies hill, at an altitude of 537 metres, this chapel was first documented in 1301. Today it offers a peaceful setting with spectacular views of the sea and mountains.
