Miravinya Shrine of Mare de Déu de Foix

Standing on top of a cliff, which gives it an excellent vantage point, is one of the oldest shrines in Catalonia, with a chapel first documented in 608. Due to the historical devotion to her, Mare de Déu de Foix is the patron saint of Penedès.

This Romanesque building was the parish church of Torrelles de Foix until 1892 and was built on top of a chapel first documented in the year 608. It was built in homage to the patron of the Penedès who, according to tradition, was found nearby by a shepherd.
