The Mediona river
Sant Quintí de Mediona
Its course has shaped Sant Quintí de Mediona, for the abundant irrigation around it and the hydraulic power that drives the industrial activity. Here the Camí del Riu begins, 43 kilometres that skirt the river until it meets the Anoia and then continues back up the course of the Lavernó stream.
Here the Camí del Riu (The Stream Walk) begins, a series of routes that run alongside the rivers MedionaBitlles, Anoia and Lavernó. The abundance of water has accompanied Sant Quintí from times of its first settlers to this day. Good examples of this are the Font de Les Deus, the Pèlag de Les Bruixes and the various ditches, basins and orchards that line the course of the river. It’s a must see.
