Parc dels Talls

This is a unique natural area that surrounds the four pèlags or pools formed by human activity: gypsum mining, which began in the Roman era and concluded towards the end of the 20th century. Today it is a geological area of great interest and a natural reserve with an enormous diversity of 36 families of different birds.

Rarely does nature deal with the effects of human activity with such generosity and beauty. This is the most common statement made about the Parc dels Talls, an old gypsum mine, exploited for more than two thousand years and which shaped the spectacular pools, the Pèlags de Vilobí.
